Michael Lozano is a 27-year-old journalist born to Mexican parents who sought opportunity in the U.S. Operating their own counseling center in Southeast Los Angeles, his parents fostered a sense of social justice in him, which he continues to fulfill through writing. As a college student, Michael emerged himself in activist groups and graduated from CSULB in 2011 with honors in Sociology and a minor in Journalism. His articles have been published nationally across VoiceWaves.Org, New American Media, and ImpreMedia, the nation’s largest Spanish-language news publisher.
